Our Drivers
Tri-State rewards superior performance with unsurpassed
compensation! We take pride in being the best in the business - and we owe it
all to our hard-working, dedicated drivers! Don't just take our word for it -
listen to some of the things our drivers are saying about Tri-State Expedited!
Alice Roberts
We received the following letter from Alice Roberts,
formerly Unit 802. Alice was signed on with Tri-State for more than 10 years
but had to retire due to health reasons. Alice wrote the following letter:
I want to thank each and everyone at Tri-State. It’s very hard not to be at
work. I look every day for one of the trucks – vans.
Thank you for sending my 10 year anniversary ring, it is very nice. When
people ask me where I got it, I’m proud to say Tri-State. I wear my Tri-State
coats with pride.
I enjoyed my job and if I could, I would return. All in all, the drivers are
very understanding and support each other. People at Tri-State help each
other. It is still hard for me to write, mostly because I do miss my job and
talking to everyone.
Thanks to everyone at Tri-State for the opportunity to belong to a company
that cares. Thanks everyone!

Skip and Judy Beebe
Dear Glenna and Ron,
After almost seven happy years with Tri-State, we are so happy to meet the
couple who created our fine company. We are so pleased that the two of you are
back to re-establish your vision and control the direction of Tri-State. We
are looking forward to the exciting new times!
How wonderful to be able to sit down and talk face to face with the owners of
the company.
A million and one thanks!
On the road and loving it!
Sincerely,
Skip and Judy Beebe (Unit 502)
We are family
We received the following note from Jim Whitmire, one of
our Account Executives. He directed his note to Carol and the entire TSES
Family.
I will never be able to express how grateful I am for the efforts and
willingness to help in my mother’s situation. I will not repeat all of the
details, but I will say that what took place today could have very well saved
her life. When I contacted Dave to encourage people to be tested and donate
platelets, he did not hesitate. I had very limited information to go on and
you guys got the wheels turning. Even though the additional testing was not
necessary, the fact that it would have been there is absolutely awesome. I,
have come to love the Tri-State family. It is my privilege and my absolute
honor to work for and with each of you. It is unusual in today’s world for
people to reach out and care for others, especially those that you don’t even
know. This is an attribute that I hope will never go away in our present era
of change. The care that you all showed for me and my family is a benefit that
you cannot put a dollar figure on. It gives us a leg up on our competition.
The national blood bank was able to identify 4 units of platelets that were
compatible and have flown those to the hospital that my mom is in. At the
point of my call, we had 48 hours to find a match.
If there is anything that I can ever do for any of you, please honor me the
opportunity. Please know, I and my entire family, are forever grateful for
everything. Please remember my mom in your prayers.

Trucker Buddys
Alvin Wright and Christie HeMiller, Unit #507, are
trucker buddys to a classroom of second grade students at the Long Island
School for the Gifted. I talked to Alvin and Christie about the classroom of
children that they have become acquainted with through the Trucker Buddy
Program. Alvin and Christie are both very enthusiastic about this fine
program. Even though they are busy transporting freight, in their off time,
they take the time to write postcards and letters to the children. They send
the children pictures that they have taken while they are traveling from state
to state to deliver freight. Judith Stilar is the second grade teacher at the
Long Island School for the Gifted. Ms. Stilar encouraged Alvin and Christie to
maintain a consistent pen pal relationship with the children. She told Alvin
and Christie that the children really enjoyed hearing from them. When the
children write to Alvin and Christie, they tell Alvin and Christie about
themselves, their likes and dislikes, their families, pets, etc. Alvin and
Christie love hearing from their little pen pals. Christie stated, “I wish
that they had something like the Trucker Buddy porgram when I was growing up.”
She feels that it helps the children, and it also adds something to the
trucker buddy’s life on the road. Alvin and Christie even bought Truck Buddy
shirts for each of the children in Ms. Stilar’s classroom. Alvin and Christie
are going to try and visit the boys and girls soon. They have found that the
children love to see the truck (inside and out) and learn about how well
equipped the trucks are with microwaves, T.V.’s, etc.
Iris Megson
We received the following e-mail from Iris Megson in Unit 42 regarding
their poodle, PEBBLES.
I am Iris Megson, authorized passenger with my husband Melvyn Megson - Unit
B042 and also recognized as authorized passenger is our toy poodle, Pebbles
who would have been 16 years old on Halloween had she lived long enough to see
it. We lost her August 24th of this year. She became ill on our runs on the
road, so we took time off and went home to Bybee, TN and lost her that
evening. I noticed on your Newsletter that we received a while ago, that you
had articles such as deaths, anniversaries, etc. I don’t know if this story is
acceptable, but to us, she was a member of Tri-State Family. We wanted
Tri-State to know of her passing, and maybe, if you could, pass this photo
along to dispatch to see, so they can see the faces of the “voices on the
other end”. Thank you for your time.
Iris Megson, Unit 042
Tammie Coltrain
Tammie, driver of Unit 158 became ill while taking a load from the
shipper to the consignee. Tammie wrote the following letter of appreciation:
Tri-State really is more than just a Company. There are a lot of caring people
there who realize that we are all a team. I like that. That’s what makes it
work. Thank you so much everyone for your help and concern. Thank you for
making me feel as important as the freight I was carrying. What a rare thing
from any company these days. Thank you for the calls and concerns. I am
feeling much better and hope to be back out on the road with you again by
Monday. I have met some really great people since driving at Tri-State and I
really look forward to meeting many more.
Thanks for everything,
Tammie, Unit 158
